Obituary for Charleine C. Cooper

Charleine Crawford Cooper was born July 26, 1947. She was the fourth child of nine children born to Charlie and Claudia Crawford.

She confessed Christ at an early age at Longhorn Church of God In Christ in the Parish of Ringgold, Louisiana. She was baptized in 2005 by Rev. Titus Walker. She attended Ministry of Faith where the pastor is Rev. Claudia Jason.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Ross Cooper Jr., December 27, 1971. She was well known as “Sate”, Aunt Satie Mae, and Mom-ma Satie, although she had no biological children. She was a mother to many, she was a nanny, she helped raise the Brice and then the Thomas Family, there were nine children.
She also helped raise the Jackson family; Gary, Gregory, and Troy, she called them her boys. She had a hand in rearing many of the second, third, and fourth generation of the Crawford family.

Charleine was also know as a woman who loved to cook. She would use her last dime and yours too, so she could feed all who wanted to eat. She was a nurturer, always giving, you knew when you gave to her it might not be there when you get back, because if someone wanted or needed, she would give it.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Ross Cooper Jr., mother, Claudia Crawford; father, Charlie Crawford; brother Willie Earl Loften, and sister Margret Wooten.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories sisters Claudia Jason, Routina Shepard, Eunice Smith, Elouise Goldston, and Nices Jones; one brother Willie Crawford, all of La Porte, Texas;
a host of nieces and nephews, to many to count; Evette Valentine, as a daughter; Lawanda Brightman, special
Goddaughter; Allison Baker, Goddaughter; Fay Hampton and Hester Lewis, life long friends; Dear friends Marydale Jones and all those at Bayview Senior Apartments, who showed great support and love.
