Obituary for Angel Luis Perez Jr.

Angel Luis Perez, Jr. was born in Puerto Rico on June 18, 1944. He lived in New York where he appeared in a musical show titled “In Search of Destiny” and sang in other musicals.
He moved from New York to the City of Pasadena, Texas in October of 1981, where he worked as a custodian and grounds keeper in the city for 21 years. He was known as a “happy-go-lucky” person and was found in the evenings singing and whistling a tune in the halls of City Hall and was always smiling and willing to help anyone who needed assistance. No job was too small or too large for Angel. After retiring in March of 2003, he continued to sing for the church.
Other than singing, his interests included movies, martial arts, fishing, and gardening. He enjoyed traveling to spend time with his family in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Yolanda, his siblings, Jeremiah (Jerry), Isaias (Iky), Oseas (Ozzy), Solana (Soly), Benjamin, and Ruben. His children, Angel Luis Jr. III, Virginia, Yohana, Anna, and Melina also survive him, as well as nine grandchildren.
