Stacey Lynn Powell was born in Pasadena, TX on August 2, 1962 to James A. Ellis and Mary Jo (Page) Ellis. She went home to our Lord on June 9, 2018 in La Porte, Texas.

She graduated from la Porte High School and moved into the workforce. Stacey wore many hats over the years. She had experience in paralegal work, truck company dispatcher, office manager and bartending. Her latest endeavor was as a Scentsy Representative.

Stacey lived a simple life, enjoying her family and numerous friends. She was always ready for a motorcycle ride or going out to eat. Her focus was her children and grand-children, spending time together eating BBQ and swimming in the backyard.

Stacey is preceded by her husband, Robert Powell; parents James and Mary Jo Ellis; sister, Yvonne Laird and brother James Walter “Shorty” Ellis. She will once again be together with her grandchildren, Hunter Haskins and Jo Lynn Wooley.

Stacey is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Powell) Wooley and husband Daryl Wooley; Step-children, Tawnya Haskins, Robbie Powell, Robert Young and David Powell. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Carolyn Wooley, Daryl Wooley Jr. Sree Lynn Wooley, Austin Haskins and Mason and Kelsi Young and Robin Powell. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

There will be a private memorial service for family and close friends.
