Gary Malcolm Emanuel 75, formerly of Goodrich, TX went home to be with the Lord in the comforts of his home, surrounded by love on Monday, January 28, 2019.

Gary was the star athlete and Valedictorian. He went on to Sam Houston State University where he graduated with a Master of Arts. Gary taught Chemistry at Sam Jacinto College for over 40 years and was a well-recognized professor. Gary was full of sarcasm and humor even as his health declined. He never met anyone he didn’t help and was always making others laugh and smile. He was an incredible marksman and loved the country and had a passion for fast cars.

Gary is survived by his daughters, who he said were his greatest accomplishments. Jade Emanuel of League City, TX, Amber and husband, Daniel Pring of Seabrook, TX. His 3 grandsons; Lucas, Bradley and Brody Pring. His sisters; JeriLynn Marsh and Sherrell and husband, Bruce Huff. Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Gayloyd Warren.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Seabrook, TX on Friday, February, 1, 2019 at 6 PM. Please call for directions.

I just learned of Gary's passing. My sympathy goes out to his daughters. I met Gary our first week at Sam Houston State in September of 1962. We studied many hours together for chemistry tests and worked our way through to our masters degrees. We remained friends and communicated back and forth all these years. I have been unable to reach him for a couple years and have wondered how he was doing. I am happy to know that he is at rest. George E Matula, Brady, Texas

Mr. Emanuel taught my Chemistry class at San Jac, in the Summer of 2008. He was one of the most impressive professors I've ever experienced. I came across my June 2008 "review" of Mr. Emmanuel on the website
"Mr. Emmanuel presented lecture material clearly, concisely, and was very helpful in clarifying & explaining. He comes across as a very kind, easy spirit. It was a laid back and very effective learning experience. I was unfamiliar with Chemistry before his I'm actually considering Chem Engineering instead of Mechanical." - Jason Golden

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4
