Peggie Inez Sherrill, 68, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in La Porte. Peggie is preceded in death by her spouse, Clifford Sherrill, her parents Ernest and Lily Forrester; also her in-laws Raymond, Enda, Geneva and Sadie Sherrill. Peggie leaves behind her loving daughter, Telisa Luther , son-in-law David Luther, her grandchildren Donovan, Josephine, Lisbeth and her sister Pam Taylor. In-laws Bill Sherrill and wife, Calvin Sherrill and wife. Peggie also leaves behind her close friends Sue Fischer, Sharon and Gary Luther; her son-in-law's parents, many extended family and friends.
Born August 11, 1948 in Harvey Illinois, she lived most her life in Orange County, Riverside CA., and Sonora, Ca. before moving 3 years ago to La Porte Tx. Peggie is fondly remembered as a loving, devoted wife and mother who considered her daughter Telisa, the best accomplishment of her life. Peggie enjoyed her life to the fullest and she cherished her family with all of her heart. Peggie was “one of a Kind”
During family get togethers Peggie enjoyed playing poker with her in - laws. She was known to surf in her teens and she stayed active most of her life. She loved arts and crafts, walking to collect cans to recycle with her mom, and spending time with her grandkids. Going to thrift stores and garage sales was just about the only shopping she truly enjoyed.
She worked at the Riverside Auto Auction as a driver for 4 years. Walking to the cars and driving them thru the auction. She once had a minor fender bender while driving a Porsche during an auction.
Those we love don’t go away they walk besides us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.
