February 22, 2018, Terry Delory decided to permanently retire from life. He is now leisurely vacationing and residing in God’s paradise.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan, step-daughters and husbands – Jill and Jerry Billman, Katy and Shannon Glenn, granddaughter, Ingrid Glenn, sister-in-law, Patricia Welch, and brother –in-law Michael Welch.
He is also survived by his mother, Linda and her husband, his father, James, sister, Ginger and husband, brother, Dana and wife, 3 nieces and a nephew, Aunt Wendy and Uncle Mike Cena and cousins, Aunt Nancy and husband.
Terry was born August 24, 1970 and raised in California. He worked at Home Depot when he first came to Texas and lived in Deer Park. He moved to La Porte and worked for Port Terminal Railroad Authority. While driving the trains, many people gestured reminding him, he was still #1. He was a very genuine, loving, compassionate and generous man. What you saw is what he was. The real Deal. He was always quick to help people out. He loved to entertain and cook. He was well known for his great barbecue. Terry was also our neighborhood unofficial watchman. He loved the holidays, but for Halloween it was known, if you want the good stuff, go to Terrys. He even “took requests” from the kids on the type of candy they wanted. He was helpful in airing up tires, tightening bolts and general just fixing things up.
The family would like to thank the PTRA family for all the prayers, visits, help, support and shared memories. Also thanks to friends, neighbors and co-workers for being there for us and your concern and help.
In Terry’s memory, his wife asks that you eat some barbecue or a good pizza, than and share good stories about Terry, and most important spend time with friends and family that mean a lot to you. Time is so precious; memories can be made, as no one knows what will happen.
Love and bless y’all.
